Warriors Festival Summer Parade - Sunday 4th May 2008

The Warriors Committee organised our first street parade on Sunday 4th May 2008. The parade started at the Rugby Club and ended at the Beachfront, travelling via Buenos Aires Drive. All sports, social, school and community groups in Strandhill and Coolera were invited to participate in this unique fun event. The idea of the parade was to promote all groups within the Strandhill/Coolera peninsula in a vibrant, colourful and fun way and to add a festival atmosphere to the village and beachfront on the day.

Queen Maeve Clean Up - Sunday 10th June 2007

Come help us clean up the area around the megalithic cairn known as Queen Meaves Grave on top of Knocknarea. The Warriors Festival is leading a concerted effort to remove the rock graffiti left by visitors to the site who use the stone from the cairn to write their names. This is causing irrepairable damage to the cairn and defacing one of the countrys most important historical and archeological monuments.
